What is a good death?
It’s probably not a question that you’ve ever asked yourself. You’re not alone. When it comes to talking about death and dying, north easterners are the least comfortable in the UK. We want to turn this around.
It may not be easy to think about, but death comes to us all. If we’re not talking about the inevitable, it means we can’t make plans. Without plans, those who are dying, their family or carers may not receive the information, care or support they want, when and where they want it.
All of us should have the right to experience a good death. We want to start a conversation that will encourage people to think and talk about end of life care.
